My Final Post About the Course

Hello everyone, I hope you are all good.😊

In this post, I am going to reflect on the course and talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the course, what are the strenghts and weaknesses of it, etc. Firstly, I want to mention strenghts and weaknesses of it. In my opinion, the course was great in terms of learning what technological tools we can use in our profession. With tools like Canva, or AR/VR tools, we can make our lesson more enjoyable for our students. And when it comes to weaknesses, or if it is not a weakness, the assignments that we did throughout the semester were really time consuming. At a certain point, I was really bored about them. Of course, if we want to be good in our profession, we need to be able to do these kind of things but anyway, the assignments made me really tired. In my opinion, the difficult part of the course was finding the right tool for preparing the teaching materials and how to create engaging tasks for learners.  The time spent for the planning of how to create the materials was too much. And the easy part of the course was I think writing the blogs. Even if I spent considerable time for it, I feel that it was the easier part of the course. And let's talk about my most and least favorite task. My least favorite task was the flipped classroom. We spent so much time for recording our videos and merging it. We recorded them again and again to make them of high quality. And my most favorite task was, I don't know, maybe the one with AR/VR integration but I am not sure. I generally felt bored while doing them so I don't know if I liked any of them. I know this comment is a cruel one but, I felt that way. I would tell to the students who would take this course next year that, if their skills regarding technology are not so good, it will be good to improve these skills for this course. And finally, let me to talk to you about this course's contribution to my professional development. Even if, I feel that I am still not clear about the tools we used for doing the assignments, this course generally helped me see what kinds of tools I can use when I need to prepare materials for my students.

Hi everyone, our second task in the course was creating an infographic and I used Piktochart for that task and I chose the topic of "safety and privacy in technology use" among the other topics that were given by our instructor to us. However, after I started to do the infographic; I did not have much difficulty in understanding the interface of it so I was relaxed about the editing process of it. Podcast Assignment

Hello everyone, our third task in the ICT course was creating a podcast, and as Arda and I, we chose to create a sound-rich story among the other options given. (Other options were creating a vox-pop or a podcast about improving the world.) We were given totally 15 words that could be used for the podcast and asked to use at least five of them. So, we used the 5 words we determined and wrote a story about a genius who witnesses a murder and goes crazy consequently. Through the editing process, we actually had fun but of course we experienced some stress, too. One of the factors in which we had difficulty was converting the file format from wpf to mp4. It was stressful for us to make the file type suitable for listening because we had to look back on the file type several times even when we thought we were sure that the file type was ok.
