My Final Blog Post: My Reflection on the Course
So, the material design course finishes with AI homework but I want to reflect on my opinions about the course here, like what I have learned from that course or how it can be improved, etc. Firstly, before I took this course, I used to think that you can integrate videos, some applications like Kahoot, in which you can compete with your friends in an engaging way in order to learn the lesson better, or some other technologies into my teaching practice and there weren't any other options in my mind. However, after taking this course, I learned that I have many other tools to integrate into my teaching practice. For example, visuals like infographics. With infographics, the learners can learn the important points of the lesson in a shorter time and in a more practical way. Moreover, now, I have some knowledge about online collaborative writing tools like Google Docs, which we used for the film review task, for example. Now, I know how to integrate these kinds of tools into my teaching practice. I can create very diverse learning tools for my students so that they can see they succeed in lessons and they will be motivated to study more. When it comes to the tasks I liked the most and I liked the least, the task I liked the most was voice-chat with ChatGPT. I was curious about how it would answer my questions. Also, it was amazing and at the same time frightening to see how much it developed. When we look at the task that I least liked, it was the podcast homework because as Arda and I, we had some difficulties in converting the type of the voice-recording file to the suitable type. We had to check it several times. Anyway, I liked the the things that the course taught me and I think the course was quite sufficient for our learning about the technologies we can integrate into our teaching practice.
So, that was all for this year. Goodbye for some time. Take care of yourselves! 💓
